Game of Thrones actresses Natalie Dormer and Lena Headey and singer/actress Beverley Knight have lent their support to Plan UK's Face Up campaign, part of the Because I am a Girl initiative.

The trio has posed for photographs with painted faces featuring the words of girls who have experienced child marriage and female genital mutilation, such as 'Trying to control me' and 'Ignored my screams'. The Because I am a Girl campaign aims to help ensure girls in some of the world's poorest countries have access to schools, skills and protection against violence.
